Meet The Farmer’s Lamp Team of Farm Friends & Experts
Dee N.
Hello and welcome, I’m Dee, and I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of this incredible community since early 2025. I grew up with a family whose way of being was DIY projects, and I couldn’t be more grateful for it.
From sustainable living skills, like gardening, to whatever needed doing around our ‘gentleman’s farm’, as my dad called it, we figured it out and leaned on the rural living skills my parents learned growing up. I’m passionate about connecting others with useful resources to learn how to be more self-sufficient.
Whether it is a backyard farm, homestead, or a potted plant on your deck, let’s get you growing, harvesting, cooking, and learning the skills to lead a more sustainable life.

Notable Roles:
Co-Owner Strawbale.com, life-long DIYer, website manager, passionate wisdom collector, and content editor, practicing her gardening and homesteading skills in the Rocky Mountains.
Rhonda C.
I’m Rhonda, a Southern-born and raised farm girl from the Deep South with over 50 years of homesteading and sustenance farming experience.
With seven generations of farmers behind us, we started The Farmer’s Lamp to share the full spectrum of homesteading—organic gardening wisdom, poultry care, from-scratch cooking, Einkorn recipes, and more sustainable living inspiration.
We blend the time-honored wisdom of our grandparents with a touch of modern ingenuity to keep these traditions alive and thriving.

Notable Roles:
Chief Editor of Homesteading Today Magazine, Author, and Contributor to Countryside Magazine, Backyard Poultry Magazine, Homestead Livestock Summit, and Grit Magazine.
