Retirement News and Introducing New Owner

Life has a funny way of surprising us, doesn’t it? Sometimes, our journey takes an unexpected turn, and suddenly, we find ourselves standing at the start of a new chapter. That’s precisely where we are today, and I’m so excited to share this news with you.

For years, The Farmer’s Lamp has been more than just a website, it’s been a gathering place for folks like you and me who care about sustainable living, homesteading, and building a life rooted in simplicity and kindness. It’s been an honor to share this space with you, learn from your stories, and grow together as a community.

But as much as we’ve loved being part of this journey, we’ve realized it’s time to pass the torch to someone who can take The Farmer’s Lamp to new heights. And we couldn’t be happier to introduce you to Dainella ‘Dee’ Nartker.

Dee is an amazing woman. She is a skilled website manager, straw bale builder, get’er-done DIYer, and one of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. She shares our passion for bringing people together, living sustainably, and helping others along the way. Since we’ve gotten to know her well, it’s clear that she’s the perfect fit to carry on the mission of The Farmer’s Lamp.

She’s been taking the time to get to know our community and understand how The Farmer’s Lamp can continue to grow since early 2025. Slowly over the coming months and years, you’ll see new resources added to thefarmerslamp.com and now content not only from me, but also from folks like my grandfather, whom Dee interviews for all of us to learn from!

We know she’ll honor everything you’ve come to love about The Farmer’s Lamp while bringing fresh energy and ideas to the Community. Learn more about Dee on our About page.

To all of you—our incredible community—thank you. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, your kindness, and your stories. This space has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined, and it’s because of you. While this is a bittersweet moment for us, we’re filled with gratitude and excitement for what’s ahead.

Please join us in welcoming Dee to the family! We can’t wait to see where she’ll take this journey, and we know you’ll love getting to know her as much as we have.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of TFL Community. It’s been an honor to share these years with you, and we’re so grateful for the connections we’ve made along the way. Here’s to the next chapter for us and for you.

Safe and Happy Journey,

Rhonda and Jason
